Chocolate cakes with Strawberry buttercream.
Looks more like a snail than a rose.

Vanilla cakes with Vanilla Seed buttercream.
Quite happy with these, but they are still a bit frilly. Delicious though :-)
Just been trying these last few months to ice cakes to look like roses. Not some flouncy flowers, though, but graphic, Alice In Wonderland-type ones.
It's obviously all about the icing nozzle, and I still don't have the right one... Yet another trip to the cake decorating shop, I think.
